Vacation mode starts the moment you step through the front door of this eleventh-floor condo. Decorated in calming, shabby chic blues and grays, your eye will be immediately drawn to your private, covered balcony, the ideal spot for morning coffee or a sundowner. You have access to that charming beach you see before you, a heated indoor pool, kiddie pool, and hot tub, and the outdoor pool, hot tub, and lazy river. You will also have access to the modest community exercise room.

Back inside, the galley kitchen offers all the space you need to whip up a fast meal or a snack for the beach, and the adjacent table provides the ideal place to dig in.

At the end of the nighttime, grab a spot on the couch and take advantage of the complimentary on-site DVD rental boxes and pop in a movie, but not before you step back outside and toast your good luck at booking the ideal beach vacation.

All Oceana Resorts guests are supplied with a package of tickets from local partners. The program offers one complimentary ticket from up to three partners per reservation. Strategies for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

Get the best value:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Book your Myrtle Beach rental property in the Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting and booking the best Myrtle Beach rental:

  • Choose vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Dog-friendly, 11th-floor condo with great view, pools, hot tubs & beach access has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before you book the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what bed configuration is optimal for your family.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • Record any damages to the property at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if there is a dispute.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
