How to find the best vacation property experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a rental home:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To book the best vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides that include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning and picking the perfect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Select a group leader, choose your dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Fantastic location!! Short walk to BEACH, Pools, and WATER PARK! has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available online. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your group.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
Advice for a great stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- At Check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of concerns.
- Be respectful. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a terrific stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
