Finding the best rental experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have discounts for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to pick the best vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Start by selecting your a vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. First Floor Luxury 1,350 Sq Ft First Floor Condo w\/ No Steps has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before you book the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
- If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
Tips to have a wonderful stay:
- Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make sure that damages aren't linked to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. text the host right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
- Be respectful. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a excellent stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
