Tricks and tips to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Book your Myrtle Beach rental in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Choosing the best vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Freshly Updated Oceanfront Suite @Ocean Park! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the host before reserving your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Know before you go:
- Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Upon arrival, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a wonderful time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
