Savor a invigorating dip in the infinity-edge pool, and grab a refreshment at the poolside snack bar afterwards, or appreciate a calming hot tub soak. Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To book the best rental within budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Make a plan and pick the perfectrental:
- Select your vacation week and budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Harbour Lights Resort
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the property owner before you reserve the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
- Does your family require particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Advice for your stay:
- Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of issues.
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- Upon arrival, record any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Be respectful. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
