Tips and Tricks to get the very best vacation property experience:
When to go & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best rental within budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Planning and picking your prefectrental home:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Majestic Ocean View Ste: Free Breakfast 11th Flr has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before you book the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what bed configuration is best for your family.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
Know before you go:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of issues.
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would at home.
- Make a record of any damages to the property at check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if there is a dispute.
- Be respectful. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to propel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
