Strategies to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Find your perfect vacation home:
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have discounts for nearby tours and attractions.
Choosing the perfect rental:
- First and foremost, have your group agree to trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. **New** - Spring\/Summer Book Now! Oceanfront, What a View!! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what bed configuration is suitable for your trip.
- Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or may be applied to your invoice.
More considerations for your visit:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make sure no damages are linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to compel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
