Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips:
Sticking to your budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the largest vacation home for your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
- Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for local shops and restaurants.
Filter your search:
- Start by having your group choose vacation dates and a budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. Ocean View 3 Bedroom Unit at Royale Palms-907 has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the host before reserving your rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is best for your group.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Considerations for your stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of issues.
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Record any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute arises.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a excellent stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
