How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Sticking to your spending plan:
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in the Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain coupons for local shops and restaurants.
Filter your search:
- Begin by choosing a vacation week and a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Oceanfront_Spacious_View the Sunrise_ Family Friendly & Quiet Building has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, call the host before reserving your home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
Have a fantastic stay:
- Get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- Make a record of any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to propel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
