Strategies to get the perfect rental experience:

Get the best value:

  • Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best rental within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Some hosts offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Selecting the best vacation home:

  • Choose vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Oceanview at A Place at the Beach 3 - Unit 3E has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before you book your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your group.
  • Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Tips for your stay:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the rental manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
