Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation property experience:
When to go & When to book:
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
