Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Finding your perfect vacation home:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to select the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose vacation week and spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Seawatch 2BR\/2BA South Tower Ocean View Condo - Fantastic Resort Myrtle Beach SC has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is right for your vacation.
- Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.
- Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
Additional considerations:
- Put the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
- Make a record of any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are assessed.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to inspire future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
