Strategies to get the best vacation rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the largest rental within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning, picking, and booking your prefectrental home:
- Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Short walk to pools and the beach! Updated 2bdrm condo! All Hilton pool access! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property manager before booking the home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what is right for your trip.
- Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
- If your family is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
Tips to have a wonderful stay:
- Add the owner's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of issues.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would back home.
- Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a great vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
