Tricks and tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Find your perfect rental home:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach vacation in Fall or Spring months to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Choose your vacation week and maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. 5th-floor oceanfront studio with AC, pool, & hot tub has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property manager before you reserve the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Does your group require special amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Tips for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
- Note any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if a dispute is filed.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
