Our top Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- To get the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides have money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
How to choose and book a perfectvacation home:
- To start, have your family choose date ranges and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Ocean Forest Plaza 1105 - Oceanfront! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property management company before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs applied to your invoice.
Tips for a wonderful stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to drive more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best rental home.
