Tips to get the optimal vacation home experience:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- To get the best rental within budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose and book your prefect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Select a group lead, choose your dates, and select a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Sand Dunes Resort 704 - #BellaVistaSunrise has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally available online. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before you reserve your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges applied to your contract.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Tips for your stay:
- Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of concerns.
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a great time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
