Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Finding your perfect rental:
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides have coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.
How to select the perfect rental in Myrtle Beach:

Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
- To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. Call the rental manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to drive future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
