Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Get the most from your spending budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is a good way to save on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Make a plan and pick your prefectrental home:
- Select vacation dates and budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Huge 3BdRm Ocean View Unit-Full Access 209B has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. If not, email or call the property management company before you book your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
Tips for a fantastic stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- To make certain damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the host immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of problems.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
